Abstract Submission

Submit your abstract for poster presentation in FORGRAD2013 before 30th April 2013.

Notification of abstract acceptance for poster presentation on 15th May 2013.

 

Call for papers

Participants are welcomed to contribute papers to the FORGRAD2013. There will be both oral and poster presentations.

 

Topics

On behalf of the Technical Committee of the Conference, we are pleased to invite all graduate students from your institution/ organization who are interested to participate in this conference. The conference theme covers all forestry related research work in four major areas, which are, Forest Biology, Forest Product, Forest Management, and Parks & Ecotourism.

 

Forest Biology

Forest biology includes botany, zoology and related interests in the areas of forest genetics, evolutionary biology, tree improvement, and conservation biology. Forest biotechnology, pest diseases, plant protection, green technology and related fields will be adressed during the conference.

 

Forest Product

Forest product includes any materials derived from the forest for commercial use, timber and non-timber. Topics covered are wood science, ethnobotany and related subjects

 

Forest Management

Forest management includes the overall administrative, economic, legal, social aspects and essentially the scientific and technical aspects which involve improving the health of forests, forest protection, disease or disasters aimed at sustainable management practices.

The conference will also touch on topics such as climate change, forest environment, biodiversity and conservation, forest soil, economics and policy, advances in forestry, forest management and practices, silviculture, land rehabilitation, planted forests, forest education, and career development.

 

Ecotourism

Ecotourism involves tourism in the fragile, pristine, and relatively undisturbed natural areas, intended as a low-impact and often small scale alternative to the standard commercial (mass) tourism. Ecotourism also focuses on social responsible travel, and environmental sustainability in areas such as urban forestry, recreation, and forest parks.

 

Submission

Papers are in the form of oral and poster presentations. Participants who which to present a paper should send an extended abstract together with registration form.

Extended abstract: maximum 5 pages, which include paper title, author’s name and affilitiation, introduction, methodology, results and discussion, tables, figures, conclusion, acknowledgement (if applicable) and references. Text should be typed using Microsoft Office Word, 12 point Times New Roman of single spacing on A4 sized paper.

 

Due date for abstract submission                         : 31st January 2013
Notification of acceptance                                  : 28 th February 2013
Due date for extended abstract submission           : 10th April 2013
